Jenny Lowry has received a Death & Grief Certification, completing five courses accredited through Colorado State University’s Division of Continuing Education.
Course study included comprehensive bereavement skills, counseling skills, understanding and responding to complicated mourning, support group facilitator training and other topics.
Lowry has also various types of grieving and grief following traumatic loss.
Certified as a Grief & Loss Aftercare Provider, Lowry is qualified to facilitate support groups, and to speak as a grief educator. She has previously co-facilitated grief groups at Mill Race Center, and currently facilitates groups at First Christian Church of Columbus.
Lowry also currently serves as the volunteer chairperson of the spiritual support chaplain at Columbus Regional Hospital. She retired from full-time ministry in 2014 from First Christian Church, and has a bachelor of arts degree from Butler University.
