A local man was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital after he was struck by a pickup truck.
Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies were sent to the 3700 block of East State Street at 5:38 a.m. Wednesday about the accident.
Deputies determined that Ronald Jones, 59, Columbus, was walking in the roadway when he was struck by the pickup driven by Roger Kretzer, 61, Columbus, deputies said.
Jones condition is unknown at this time, deputies said. Kretzer was released from the scene.
