Around Town – September 7

Orchids to …

• Karen Lowe for a very intelligent observance and diagnosing of the thoughts and behavior of people with personal problems expressing themselves publicly in the paper.

• Toyota Manufacturing Co. of Columbus and EnerSys Corp of Reading, Pennsylvania, for their generous gift of a much-needed and appreciated electric forklift to a sometimes forgotten charity, the Orphan Grain Train located in Jonesville.

• Shorty and Jean for the delicious tomatoes they have given us over the summer, from Joe and Mary Ann.

• the city recycling driver who stopped to pick up recyclables that fell over — and had to even wait for the sprinklers so he could get to it –- because he did a great job and it’s appreciated on Silver Fox Drive.

• politicians, actors and left-wingers for calling law-bidding gun owners terrorists.
