George H. Budd, 88, of Columbus passed from this life on Monday, September 9, 2019 at 8:48 p.m. at Columbus Regional Hospital.
George was born on March 16, 1931 in Johnson County, Indiana the son of Horace and Amanda Burge Budd. On July 22, 1973 he married Violetta L. Hash, she preceded him in death on March 27, 1998.
Mr. Budd was a United Stated Air Force veteran having served during the Korean War. After 41 years he retired from Arvins where he was a supervisor. He had a passion for vintage cars, attending car shows and swap meets. His know how will be missed by all, he was a fountain of information.
Survivors include his daughter, Cindy (Larry “Lorn”) Isenberg of Columbus; grandson, Patrik Isenberg of Columbus; nieces and nephews, Ronnie Cummings, Donna Cummings, Cheryl Cummings, Nancy Budd, Bill Budd, Louise Murray, Doug Henderson, Robert Henderson and Glenda Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Violetta L. Budd on March 27, 1998; brother, Ben Budd; sisters, Marie Henderson and Ruth Cummings; and a nephew, Eddie Henderson.
Family and friends may call from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Garland Brook Cemetery in section 82 West with Pastor Tom Collett officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association.
