Steven Paul Hollinger, 56, of Hope, passed from this life at 7:47 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2019 at the Columbus Regional Hospital.

Mr. Hollinger was born April 18, 1963, in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Russell O. and Betty Norris Krummel Hollinger.

Steven was a U.S. Navy Veteran where he served from 1984 to 1993 during The Gulf War and a U.S. Army National Guard Veteran serving from 1993 to 2004.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a lifetime member of the N.R.A.

He enjoyed golf, riding his Harley, being a Pitbull for the Columbus North Marching Band and volunteering his talents for the Columbus Philharmonic.

Mr. Hollinger was a jack-of-all-trades and a master of many.

A loving husband, Mr. Hollinger was proud of his daughters and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with all of them.

He married Kim Weddell December 31, 1999.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Victoria Jade (Lincoln) Bates of Columbus and Chandra Ciara (Bradley) Williams of Columbus; grandchildren, Michael, Alyssa, Brycen and Brileigh Williams and a granddaughter to arrive soon; father, Russell O. Hollinger of Columbus; brother, Russell W. (Mary) Hollinger of Elizabethtown; sister, Cathy (Doug) Brown of Elizabethtown; and his dog, Bear.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

The funeral will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Rev. Dr. Felipe Martinez officiating.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to time of service.

Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery with military honors presented by the U.S. Navy Ceremonial Unit and the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or The Sound of North.
