A local manufacturer and animal shelter teamed on a pet event Monday raise funds and awareness, and try to find permanent homes for some animals.
Sunright America Inc. hosted a visit from the Bartholomew County Humane Society.
Sunright employees had the chance to interact with different dogs that are up for adoption, and information was shared with employees about how they could help the shelter and possibly adopt a pet.

The Bartholomew County Humane Society brought four dogs: a chow, a yellow Labrador retriever, a beagle and a hound. Although none of the dogs was adopted, several employees talked with the shelter’s representative about coming and see other dogs and cats.
More than $700 was donated by Sunright and its employees, and the money will be used for the shelter’s needs. Employees also donated other items the shelter needs.
