Continued support amazing
Our Hospice of South Central Indiana has been holding an annual Labor Day weekend concert for 33 years. The remarkable run for this popular concert is due to strong community support through the years.
Our Hospice of South Central Indiana raised a record-tying $124,000 at the summer concert Aug. 31 at Mill Race Park, which this year featured popular ’80s rock band Survivor as the headliner.
The nonprofit agency uses the concert to raise money to support its efforts of providing end-of-life care for patients and families in 16 counties in South Central Indiana.

For Our Hospice’s concert to receive such strong support after all these years shows how well its message and efforts resonate. We applaud the agency and those who support it — because those efforts make a difference with those served by Our Hospice.
Excellent opportunities
National Public Lands Day is Sept. 28, and it represents an excellent opportunity for people to get outdoors, learn about and experience nature, and volunteer to help a state park.
Indiana is offering free admission to state parks — such as Brown County State Park — state forests, state recreation areas and fish and wildlife areas on National Public Lands Day, a single-day volunteer effort.
For those who love the outdoors and enjoy lending a helping hand, this is the perfect opportunity and worth considering. Go online at calendar.dnr.IN.gov to find the opportunity right for you.
