It’s a Columbus North High School homecoming tradition that students look forward to all year.

The annual tricycle races were held at North’s Max Andress Field at the high school Friday afternoon prior to Friday night’s homecoming game.

These aren’t any old trike races, however, but ones that require competitors to pedal through a splash zone where their teammates are known to drench them with buckets of water.

And as is North’s tradition, the homecoming king was announced Friday afternoon — with North senior Pranav Venkataraman receiving the highest number of votes this year.
