A local man who was spotted trespassing at a Columbus department store was arrested by CPD officers on several drug-related charges.

Officers were sent to Walmart, 735 Whitfield Drive, at about 10 p.m. Thursday about a man trespassing inside the store, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Walmart employees said that Cameron N. Dicken, 29, of 625 Maple St., was trespassed from the store earlier in the year, Harris said. The officers made contact with Dicken inside the store and he was placed under arrest, Harris said.

While searching Dicken’s backpack, the officers located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia including syringes and a digital scale inside, Harris said.

Dicken was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail where he was held on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of a legend drug injection device, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal trespass, Harris said.

Dicken was being held in the jail in lieu of $126,000 bond, jail officials said.
