Columbus
You have heard the tag lines associated with Columbus: “Unexpected and Unforgettable;” “Unique by Design;” not settled for “Good Enough;” and “Discover Columbus.” Now I invite you now to discover Josh Burnett running for Columbus City Council at large.
I have known Josh for the last 10-plus years and can’t think of a better candidate to lead this community onward and upward. I have seen him persevere through a family health crisis and grow through experiencing other communities. By seeing another community in Illinois for a while, he has realized what a great community we have in Columbus and wants to continue to build on what we have for our kids and generations to come.
From an early age, Josh was exposed to team sports. It has made him realize that you win games when the whole team works together. Josh has built relationships throughout the community through his volunteering and his entrepreneurial media business (JAB Media). Because of being a minister’s son and graduating from seminary himself, he is very well-connected with a community of strong, unspoken churches. He and his father have recently worked at the REC program and understands the hardships that some of our citizens face. Josh is a part of Leadership Bartholomew County, which gives him a wide view of community and its leaders. Josh is a great listener of others and can communicate with others better than anyone that I know.
It seems rare these days that our younger generation takes the steps in volunteering for the good of the community. Through his “Celebrate Columbus” show, Josh has shown his dedication to making his city an even better place to live. This “positive” leadership attitude fits well with what the City of Columbus already portrays.
I know with his media skills and transparency he will keep us all informed and always have a listening ear to do what is right for our community. Again, I ask you to discover Josh Burnett and vote Nov. 5 to make the best better by bringing Josh to the city council.
