Columbus Regional Hospital started a new patient visitation policy to protect patients from the H1N1 flu virus, restricting the number and age of visitors and asking people who showed symptoms of illness to stay away from the hospital.

Columbus Parks and Recreation Board proposed converting a 100-year-old brick structure near Donner Park, originally used as an office for Columbus City Cemetery, into a columbarium for storage of urns containing ashes of cremated bodies.
