What can I say about Josh Burnett? This is the question I asked myself when I was offered the opportunity to write a letter to the editor. Once I started brainstorming and putting my ideas on paper, that’s when I realized something: all my answers were right in front of me!
Let me take you back about six or seven years ago to when I was about 10 years old. I went to a summer camp called Hilltop Christian Camp. Josh was the camp counselor that week. Little did I know that week would help me start growing a relationship with Josh Burnett and improve my relationship with Christ.
Fast forward now a couple of years. I was working the drive-thru at Indiana Smokehouse, and to my surprise Josh Burnett rode in! I was excited, it had been years since the last time I had spoken with him. We chatted for a few minutes about life, and the one thing I realized is that Josh still had great Christian values! I have seen him from time to time after that, and I realize every time we speak, that his faith, family and community are the most important things in his life.
On top of all that, Josh also owns “Celebrate Columbus,” a talk show where Josh speaks to people all around Columbus and gets to know them and the many great things about them. Josh really cares about the people of Columbus and he deserves your vote. Josh is always making it a priority to serve the people of Columbus. He cares most about accomplishing goals and less about who gets the credit.
I feel that if people are looking for a strong, capable, faith-oriented, God-loving, servant-leader to help lead Columbus, Josh Burnett is the one they should vote for. Josh will do everything he can to help improve Columbus to the best of his abilities. Since I am not old enough to vote, I am asking others to vote for Josh Burnett, city council at-large.
As a resident in Columbus, it is important to me to have a trustworthy, passionate leader to selflessly help and love who they’re doing it for. Mr. Josh Burnett will do this in creative and innovative ways and will make Columbus, Indiana, a better community.
