COLUMBUS
Ted L. Hooker, 66, of Columbus, passed from this life at 6:35 a.m. Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Hope.
Mr. Hooker was born May 24, 1953, in Indianapolis, the son of Carl O. and Ila M. Riggs Hooker.
Ted was formerly employed at Werner Trucking and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his children Craig (Doris) Hooker, Tiadorita Hooker and Raquel “Rocky” Hooker all of Columbus; grandchildren, Megan Hooker, Penelope Hoffman and Kostin Porter; brothers, Curtis (Jennifer Hearne) Hooker of California and Carl L. Hooker of Arizona; sister, Jean “Susie” Patton of Indianapolis; and his companion, Linda Cutrell of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Andrew C. Hooker.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Howard Boles officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
In keeping with the families wishes, cremation was planned.
