Coroner: Man found in cornfield died of meth overdose

COLUMBUS, Ind. — A local man whose body was discovered in a Columbus cornfield in early October died of an acute methamphetamine overdose, Bartholomew County Coroner Clayton Nolting said.

The body of Danny Ray Green, 39, 2340 N. Indianapolis Road in Columbus, was discovered on Oct. 3 about 25 feet off the east side of the road north of Tellman Camp Road by a farmer who was harvesting corn.
