Incumbent Republican David Bush won the Columbus City Council District 3 seat, defeating Democratic challenger Katea Ravega.

Bush, 32, received 797 votes, or nearly 61.07% of the vote, against Ravega, 42, who received 508 votes, or 38.93%.

“I’m just excited to do the job for another four years,” Bush said. “I’m excited to be behind the current administration and I am happy for all the folks who turned out to vote and appreciate the support and support of my family. I’m just excited to do it another four years.”

Bush, a majority stakeholder in Kenny Glass Inc., was appointed by Republican precinct members in December 2018 to fill the vacant council seat after former councilman Frank Jerome resigned after moving out of the district.
