Around Town – December 6

Orchids to …

• three hockey Flames: Luke Getchell, Lukas Jozsa and Luis Taqueshi — it takes all to make a team.

• staff at the local BMV for fast, friendly service.

• the nice person who paid for our dinner at El Toreo Restaurant on Tuesday evening; we will pay it forward.

• Kaitlyn at Waffle House great food, great service, and for turning a bad day into a good one.

• those that know that a “democratic” republic will remain so only if we have free, full, and fair elections without foreign influence.

• President Trump for pressuring European countries to fairly contribute to their own protection instead of expecting the United States to contribute more than they do.

• Steve Piotrowski, at Bob Poynter’s for the quick and courteous service from Linda.

• people who have joy in their lives regardless of who the president is.

• CRH 4Tower nurses and doctors who went above and beyond their standards for help in keeping me well and in a good mood.

• President Trump for enraging democrats by getting our NATO allies to pay their fair share for their own defense.

Onions to …

• this desperate president who is trying to stay in office.

• the five cars that drove past the school bus with the flashing arm out on Home Avenue Monday morning.

• various elected officials who have nothing but hatred in their hearts, using taxpayer funds and time to further or secure their political positions, and not giving sincere service for the benefit of whole country’s needs.

• Democrats for impeaching the best president in my lengthy lifetime; you can’t even prevent spam phone calls, but you think you can control my healthcare with a new socialist president — can’t be done.

• local Social Security office for having an inadequate parking lot.

• the council member who watches videos and texts during council meetings instead of paying attention in the meeting you were elected to represent in.

• small-minded members of the Swamp in Washington, D.C. who have allowed their hate and political ambitions to control their behavior which is and has been so damaging to our country.

• the Trump administration for handing out tax breaks to the wealthy.

• BCSC administration for not giving retirees their well-deserved and earned 2018-19 performance stipend yet give it to new teachers that did not even work in the corporation for that school year.

• the do-gooders who get offended when the president or anyone else tells it like it is.

• those who think Trump needed Russia to win the election for him when he clearly did it on his own.

• a county board that doesn’t consistently post meeting agendas.

• the Bartholomew County website for the lack of posting minutes under their meeting center.
