BEDFORD
Myra Kay (Clemons) Chastain, 71, of Bedford, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born January 10, 1948 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Albert and Gwendolyn (Martin) Clemons.
She married Duane Chastain and he survives.
Myra worked at RCA and Cook. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge.
Surviving her are husband and his children, Madelyn (Lee) Nelson, Marilyn (Adam) Wessell, Elizabeth Chastain; siblings, Wilma Griffin, Judy Sater, Juanita Adkins; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; special niece, Tammy Stalcup Williams, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and her favorite dogs Molly and Bucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Kathleen Hurt, Louise Axsom, Martha Bireley, Albert Clemons, Jr., and Brenda Stalcup.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes with Robbie Hurt officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.
Visitation will be from 1 – 5 P.M. on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the funeral home.
