• the farmer east of Hartsville who hasn’t cleaned up his barn since it fell down and lets weeds grow and go to seed.
• the Confederate flag on the truck — it is no longer relevant.
• the school board that approves every crazy idea brought to it, including exorbitant pay for administrators, block scheduling, flying people to Caribbean islands for drugs three or four times a year and hiring people whose backgrounds checks have been red flagged.
• BCSC administrators that, while on company time during normal business hours, advocate for the tax increase by responding to Facebook comments that question the need for it.
• the administrator who blames teacher turnover solely on “pay and benefits” and dismisses the “stress and demand” placed on them by the administration.
• those who praise the Confederate flag, a symbol for slavery and oppression of millions of people, and betraying the United States of America.
• the Democrat Party — if you can support the wasting of millions of dollars for this impeachment (SHAM) you are truly a disgrace to our community.
• the person flying the flag of an illegitimate, hostile nation that once fought and lost a long, bloody war with the United States, and to those who encourage it.
• people who worry what others think about diversity. Fly any flag you want — everyone else does and they don’t care if it offends.
• whoever came into our front yard on Road 250W and cut the electric wire to our nativity set, it is a shame you do not have better things to do, Merry Christmas to you.
• renters who don’t realize that their rent will have to go up if the school referendum passes in May.
• the school superintendent and board promising we’ll really get something in return for sending more money their way — as much money every year as downtown’s new Commons cost us.
• our United States Senate for starting to set a precedent that would allow future presidents to use a foreign government to undermine a political opponent, thus sacrificing our independence in the world.
