January’s program is “Mario the Maker Magician!” An award-winning children’s performer, Mario is known for the integration of DIY electronics and robotics in his show, inspiring kids to dream up their own creations. It’s a modern take on old school vaudeville and slapstick: upbeat, interactive, rock ‘n’ roll and hilarious. Mario has appeared on “Sesame Street” and “Sprout,” and toured North America in 2018 as David Blaine’s opening act; free and open to everyone.

CLASSIC FILM: ‘REMEMBER THE NIGHT,’ 6 p.m. Dec. 23, Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Barbara Stanwyck and Fred MacMurray star in this 1940 film. A shoplifter (Stanwyck) is caught stealing a bracelet before Christmas. The prosecutor (MacMurray) postpones the trial because it is hard to get a conviction at Christmas time. Romance follows.

CLASSIC FILM: ‘THE SHOP AROUND THE CORNER,’ 6 p.m. Dec. 26, Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus; 1940 romantic comedy stars Margaret Sullavan, James Stewart and Frank Morgan. Sales clerks at a leather goods shop in Budapest fall in love, in a roundabout way.
