Douglas L. Chaplin and Lisa D. Paris-Chaplin of Columbus are celebrating their 43rd wedding anniversary. To celebrate, the couple took a trip this fall to Nevada with stops at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, Red Rock Canyon, the Hoover Dam and Valley of Fire. A celebration was given by their son and daughter-in-law, Isaiah P. and Katie Chaplin.
Mr. Chaplin and his wife, the former Lisa D. Paris, were married Aug. 28, 1976 at First Christian Church in Columbus by Dr. Ard Hoven.
Douglas retired from Cummins in 2007, and is currently employed at Cummins in security.
Lisa retired from Adesa Southern Indiana and Cummins security and is currently employed at Bartholomew Consolidated Schools Corporation.

They are the parents of Jeremiah D. (Stormy Eanes) Chaplin, Isaiah P. (Katie) Chaplin and the late Zachariah A. Chaplin; and grandparents of two granddaughters.
