Around Town – January 8

Orchids to …

• those who realize the Iranian general planned terrorism.

• our local librarians for all their creativity and kindness in the amazing kids section.

• Jim Baker for reminding us that we will only be saved if we believe in President Trump and support him.

• homeowners who protect their homes from intruders and ask questions later.

• the president for eliminating a terrorist threat and showing America will not stand for it.

• the crew at Belle Tire on 46W for fixing my tire on Monday in the middle of a very busy day, from Jan.

• President Trump for taking care of business.

• our president for not providing advanced notice of his airstrike on Soleimani in Baghdad because it would have leaked out.

Onions to …

• the driver who parks a car in the street and uses the cul-de-sac for a high speed turn around instead of their driveway.

• the local elected official who has massively increased taxes and government spending but has nothing to show for it.

• those upset that our president took a brave step to do what others before him have been afraid to do for a long time.

• Trump and the Republicans in the Senate who refuse to take up the House legislation on lowering and negotiating the cost of prescription drugs, as drug prices continue to climb again this year.

• Trump for provoking another war in the Middle East after his promise to withdraw from endless wars.

• anyone who thinks eight years of homophobia would be good for this country.

• Republicans because of who they are and what they represent.

• this president who said he wanted to drain the swamp but is pulling us all into the mud where he loves it but most of us don’t.

• this very dangerous president who needs to be removed as quickly as possible.

• the Republicans who do nothing but kiss up to Trump.

• all the lying men and women in Congress.

Happy Birthday to …
