HOPE — A woman who was stabbed in a domestic dispute at a home in Hope on Tuesday is listed in stable condition at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Barbara Mee, 78, Hope, was taken to the hospital after a double stabbing in the 200 block of Scott Street at 6:39 a.m. Tuesday, investigators said.
James T. Mee, 77, who lives at the Scott Street address, was arrested Tuesday on preliminary charges of murder and domestic battery, Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies said.
Mee is accused of stabbing and killing his son, Charles A. Mee, 50, Hope, and stabbing and injuring Barbara Mee, deputies said.
Charles A. Mee died of a stab wound to the neck and blunt force trauma to the head and face, said Bartholomew County Coroner Clayton Nolting.
James T. Mee is being held without bond at the Bartholomew County Jail, jail officials said.
