COLUMBUS
Diana Lynn Sparks, 60, of Columbus, passed away at 12:14 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2020 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Diana was born October 18, 1959, in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of John R. and Barbara Mae Webb Grider. On April 30, 2013, she married Brent Draus.
Diana was a jack of all trades. She a master drywaller and was self-employed for many years doing construction work. Diane had the ability and knowledge to work on cars, do plumbing and electrical jobs and she loved gardening. She also enjoyed flowers.
Survivors include her husband, Brent; sisters, Julia Ann (Gary Forest) Dickmeyer of Nashville, Barbara (Steven) Rayl of Norman, Indiana; brother, John R. Grider; mother, Barbara Grider, both of North Vernon; brother-in-law, Nathan Draus of Columbus; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Grider.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Tony Garris officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
