• Ashley at Minash Boutique for her honesty and guidance when picking out items from her store. Her boutique is always so trendy and the staff members are always so pleasant, from a thankful customer.

• teachers who are developing critical thinking skills for our students essential to defend our democracy and republic against lies, deceit and abuse of power.

• Lauren, my birthday buddy at Columbus Regional Cancer Center, for always being so nice.

• the person at The Republic who is responsible for assigning delivery people; the new carrier gets the paper to Four Seasons at a convenient early hour.

• Matlock Plumbing for the great service, from Pete and Betty.

• Deputy Nick Martoccia for helping a motorist after a deer accident, it was greatly appreciated.

• Larry Jackson on his recent letter, a good quality letter and a lot of people could learn a lesson from it.

Onions to …

• the elected official for saying he was the person who saved coverage on pre-existing conditions, as his administration continues a lawsuit to end the Affordable Care Act, which gave us those protections to begin with.

• officials who continue to let Jewel Village drown under flood waters that are destroying properties, while continuing to beautify bridges and adding silly art installations.

• those who aren’t aware that after a heavy rain, the west side of Marr Road is likely to be covered by water — sign or no sign.

• the cars that passed the stopped school bus on Third Street, just because there are three lanes doesn’t allow you to pass a flashing stop sign on a bus.

• those who don’t realize the high water sign for Marr Road is located right where the water on the road is.

• the business for take the meals away from night shift.

• people who have nothing more constructive to do than submit anti-Democrat onions almost daily.

• the weekend event organizers who said all ages welcome, then discouraged any girls older than 11 from attending.

• the weekend event that had music geared for 3-year-olds instead of music played in previous years.

• the weekend event that made changes and is now not fun for young girls like it used to be.

• the weekend event that did not have any promotion causing a huge decrease in attendance.

• the local facility that took five weeks to return a check that had the wrong address on the envelope.

• the elected official and his administration for still trying their best to take away health care coverage for pre-existing conditions and to disband Medicare.

• the elected officials for wanting some fancy river frontage when we have horrible flood problems that they haven’t fixed yet.

• liberals who think putting America first is a problem and refer to the killing of a terrorist as taking an innocent life.

• anyone making a disgusting comment falsely stating that any U.S. citizen is supporting Iran.

• the elected official for putting himself first and putting America in a dangerous situation.

• Republicans who are helping Putin destroy our democracy.

• the elected official and his cohorts falsely stating that there was an imminent threat when he gave the order to assassinate the military leader.

• another half million being spent on the riverfront project.

• the Social Security raise being so small as Medicare Part B, which is taken out, was increased much more.
