SHELBYVILLE
Vivian L. Burton, age 83 of Shelbyville, Indiana, formerly of Columbus, Indiana passed away, Tuesday, January 14, 2020 in the Heritage House Convalescent Center, Shelbyville, Indiana.
She was born in Columbus, Indiana on February 8, 1936 the daughter of the late Clifford Whittington and Mabel (Hornback) Whittington.
She was a Columbus Central HS graduate and was a homemaker.
Vivian was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle Church (Shelbyville, IN) and the church organist many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Robert Whittington and a sister, Norma Wilson.
She is survived by her children, Danny Wayne (wife, Annette) Burton of Mitchell, IN; Jeffrey B. Burton of Shelbyville, Indiana, also her grandchildren, Rev. Robbie (wife, Rachel) Burton of Mitchell, IN and Daniel Shane Burton of Shelbyville, Indiana, great grandchildren, Braylon Burton and Adrianna Burton and her sister, Judy (husband, Jerry) Freeman of Columbus, Indiana.
She was a loving mother and loved her pet, Miss Dolly.
Funeral services for Vivian will be on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Apostolic Tabernacle Church, 1500 Miller Ave., Shelbyville, Indiana with Rev. Daniel McDonald officiating.
Visitation will be at the church on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 11 a.m. until service time.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville, Indiana.
