Bull Dogs down Cougars

BLOOMINGTON — Co-No. 9-ranked Columbus North posted its best score of the season Thursday in a 110.0 to 102.7 win against Bloomington North in a meet that took place at Bloomington South.

Emily Moore won all four individual events on her way to taking the all-around competition with a 37.65. Moore claimed the vault (9.5), bars (9.35), beam (9.5) and floor (9.3).

Sami Heathcote finished second on the bars (9.25) and beam (9.35), tied for second on the floor (9.2) and was third on the vault (9.3) in taking second in the all-around with a 37.1. Alayne Davis tied for second on the floor (9.2) and finished fourth on the bars (8.4) in taking fourth in the all-around with a 34.75.

Also for the Bull Dogs, Lindsey Mullis finished third on the bars (8.45). Ashley Niebrugge took fourth on the beam (8.5), and Grace Ellis was fourth on the floor (9.1).

Jets fall to Braves

HOPE — Hauser outscored Brownstown Central 34-23 in the second half, but couldn’t overcome a 35-10 halftime deficit in a 58-44 defeat.

Bree Hadley led the Jets (6-12) with 14 points. Aunaka Wasil added 13 points.

Mohawks top Cougars

WALDRON — South Decatur trailed only 12-11 after one quarter, but Waldron pulled away for a 69-44 Mid-Hoosier Conference win.

Lana Bell led the Cougars (5-14, 0-5) with 22 points. Megan Manlief added 12.
