Around Town – January 25

Orchids to …

• Kevin Thompson working in lumber at Lowe’s for always being so helpful, you always find what I need and smile the whole time you are helping me, from a grateful older lady.

• Hunter Wart’s senior project at Columbus North High School which became a phenomenal win for a newborn child in Seymour Thursday where his “baby box” located at a Seymour fire station worked as intended.

• keeping marijuana illegal and out of my business — we have enough messed up people.

• the city and county for rejecting the sanctuary proposal which would have put citizens and law enforcement at risk.

• Rep. Adam Schiff, D-California, for his eloquent case on the critical importance of truth and honesty to our U.S. Constitution and democratic republic.

• Greg Krueger for being the best material manager for the past 15 years, always going above and beyond to make sure all your employees were taken care of and the boxes were shipped out on time. Thanks for taking care of all of us, from employees.

• the construction man removing his hat Tuesday on State Road 11 for funeral processions, this was very respectful and greatly appreciated.

• Anita Gauck for her good letter to the editor in Friday’s paper.

• city and county officials for upholding the law by opposing sanctuary cities when others don’t seem to have the common sense they do.

• anyone who calls their U.S. senator and demands to hear witnesses in the president’s trial.

• Annette Adkins for the cake, the rides to the basketball games and all the other little things you do for me, from Sherry.

• any person, politician, state or city that supports the illegal immigrant sanctuary movement.

• people who don’t realize people are the problem, not the guns.

• those who think schools teach real civics.

• this do-nothing elected group that is wasting time and money.

• people who don’t know or won’t acknowledge that the former president was impeached for committing felony perjury, not his many dalliances.
