North sweeps Trojans
After Oldenburg Academy pulled out of Thursday’s scheduled meet at Columbus North, the Bull Frogs needed to find another opponent for senior night.
East Central came to town on Tuesday, and North celebrated with a 110-86 victory in the boys meet and a 130-53 win on the girls side.
The Bull Frog girls won all 12 events. Olivia Morlok took the 200-yard individual medley (2 minutes, 19.20 seconds) and 100 butterfly (1:02.74); Betsy King captured the 50 freestyle (25.61) and 100 breaststroke (1:12.66) and Erica Samuel won the 100 freestyle (56.41) and 100 backstroke (1:04.61).
Also for North, Riddhi Garg won the 200 freestyle (2:06.58); Grace Lemley took the diving competition (155.25) and Karlie Brown captured the 500 freestyle (5:43.05). The Bull Frogs swept the 200 medley (1:58.14), 200 freestyle (1:45.55) and 400 freestyle (3:53.05) relays.
David Fry led the North boys with wins in the 200 IM (2:09.20) and 100 breaststroke (1:07.32). Matthew Goble took the 100 backstroke (1:04.55), and the Bull Frogs captured the 200 medley (1:43.03) and 200 freestyle (1:32.41) relays.
East sweeps Pirates
The Columbus East boys and girls swept Greensburg on senior night. The Olympian boys won 126-27, and the girls prevailed 141-107.
Mason Curry won the 200 IM (2:14.53) and 100 butterfly (57.01) to lead the boys. Other individual winners were Bryce Eckelman in the 50 freestyle (26.34), John Roberts in diving (148.25), Dathan Wolf in the 100 freestyle (55.72), Henrique Carvalho in the 500 freestyle (7:20.78), Branson Young in the 100 backstroke (1:05.07) and Fabio Nihalani in the 100 breaststroke (1:31.31). East also swept the 200 medley (1:57.27), 200 freestyle (1:43.28) and 400 freestyle (4:03.85) relays.
For the girls, Karissa Miller won the 200 freestyle (2:08.97) and 100 backstroke (1:05.91), Ellie Proffitt took the 200 IM (2:27.30) and 100 butterfly (1:05.67) and Marin Wieneke captured the 50 freestyle (25.64) and 100 breaststroe (1:12.68). Cloie McDonald won the diving (189.10), Jennifer Utterback took the 100 freestyle (59.21) and the Olympians won the 200 medley (1:57.42) and 200 freestyle (1:47.77) relays.

Chargers edge Jets
GREENSBURG — Hauser rallied from a 16-3 deficit after one quarter to tie the game at 34-34 after three quarters, but North Decatur pulled out a 54-53 Mid-Hoosier Conference victory.
Hannah Johnson led the Jets (7-15, 1-5) with 15 points. Kyliegh Parrott added 12, and Aunaka Wasil had 10.
Lancers clinch title share
EDINBURGH — Edinburgh rallied from a 35-29 deficit after three quarters to clinch at least a tie for the MHC title with a 48-44 win against Edinburgh.
Haven Link led the Lancers (16-5, 5-0) with 15 points. Destiney Ramey added 11.
Rebels top Cougars
GREENSBURG — Lana Bell scored 27 points, but South Decatur came away with a 57-50 loss to Southwestern (Hanover).
Loyrn Pate added 10 points for the Cougars (5-17).
