Harry W. Shomaker, 77, of Edinburgh, passed away on January 21, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenwood, IN.
Celebration of Life Services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 1st, 2020 at Columbus Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Hansen and Pastor Scott Bourland of Indiana officiating.
Harry was born in Eureka, Illinois to Harry L. Shomaker and Margaret (Keshner) Shomaker on February 10, 1942. He went to school at Mackinaw High School. He married Barbara Bree, from Mores Hill, IN on August 12, 1960 in Mackinaw, IL. He graduated from Judson College, in Elgin, IL. He worked as a Minister for the Lord for 44 years. He was involved in Baptist Churches across the country. Harry was bi-vocational and worked for various agencies and establishments during his working years.
Harry is preceded in death by Alan Shomaker, brother, Harry L Shomaker, father, Margaret (Keshner) Shomaker, mother, Dixie (Shomaker) Mehalek, sister and two grandchildren.
Harry is survived by his wife, Barbara (Bree) Shomaker, daughters, Cheryl (Shomaker) Boothe, Ann (Shomaker) Bosco, Kimberly (Shomaker) Kennedy, son Brent W. Shomaker.
He is survived by 18 grandchildren: Michael, Joel, Jordan, Desiree, Aaron, Leslie, Sonja, Christopher, Jim, Joseph, Ashley, Seth, Lauren, Sarah, Rebecca, Jada, and Autumn.
Twelve great-grandchildren: Faith, Alyssa, Gavin, Adrianna, Corbin, Katie, Matthew, Tessa, Henry, Emerson, Cali, and a new addition in August 2020.
One Great-Great grandchild, to arrive in July 2020.

The family of Harry Shomaker wishes to extend our sincere thanks to his son-in-laws, Charles Kennedy and David Boothe, his church family, Columbus Baptist Church, his extended family – Cousins, sister and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews. A special thank you for all the wonderful nurses at St. Francis Hospital for the tremendous care and compassion that you showed to our family and our father in his last days.
