Columbus Mayor Jim Lienhoop has appointed Josh Burnett as a Columbus Parks Board member, replacing John McCormick, who stepped down from the board earlier this month.

Burnett, a long-term Columbus resident who serves as communications coordinator for the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp., will serve out the rest of McCormick’s term, which ends in December 2022.

"His history with Columbus and his use of city parks will add value to the Parks Board. We are excited to have his participation," said Columbus Parks Director Mark Jones in a statement.

Lienhoop appointed McCormick to the Otter Creek Management Corp. Board this week, according to the press release.
