If you’re not attending in person the classic hoops rivalry game of Indiana University and Purdue University on Thursday, you can do perhaps the next best thing: Join the crowd that normally gathers to watch it as a mix of allegiances at YES Cinema, 328 Jackson St. in downtown Columbus.

The Indiana University Alumni Association South Central Indiana Region and Purdue University Polytechnic Institute of Columbus are jointly sponsoring a special viewing party of the game on the big screen at 7 p.m. Thursday. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Admission is free, and concessions, beer and wine will be available for purchase. (No outside food or beverages allowed.)

The event is open to all and all ages. Organizers are encouraging people to dress in their school colors.
