March 13

Orchids to …

• Victoria at The UPS Store for being friendly and professional while helping me figure out the best type of mailing method for my husband’s important documents.

• President Trump for looking after all Americans and also small businesses.

• our church which has discontinued "passing the peace" so that their parishioners can feel safe from flu virus and other medical issues.

• the two ladies who returned our car after they took it by mistake.

Onions to …

• a president who has spent more on golf than multiple times his salary.

• people who can’t realize an inability to live within your means should not be a problem of your agreed-upon employer or worse yet, the taxpayer.

• the rude person who only comes to church on pitch-in night.

• media outlets propagating panic over the coronavirus.

• a highly elected official who claims we must work together against the pandemic and put politics aside, when just days earlier he called the hardest hit state official a snake, who happened to be in the opposite party.

• those who aren’t aware that many food workers don’t have paid medical absence and may be on the job when they shouldn’t be.

• those who don’t realize the 1918 pandemic killed more people than the total number of military and civilian deaths that resulted from World War 1.

• the local tire company that forgot to tell me when you buy four tires, you are now charged $72 for mount imbalance and $51 for road hazard.

• all the people posting referendum onions who are not fully educated on the issue.

• people who are promoting panic and are overreacting to the current situation.

• whoever broke the Eighth Street book box door.

• those with the same old story, if you’re not for the referendum, you’re not for the welfare and wellbeing of kids.

• the federal elected official for calling the coronavirus a hoax.

• the local restaurant that had mouse traps sitting everywhere for people to see.

• the former city official who doesn’t know that state law prohibits school corporations from taking money from building projects to pay for teacher and support staff salary.
