I recently read that the state is claiming there were no new cases of COVID-19 in Bartholomew County, which I find dangerously misleading.
My mother was exposed to two people who returned from a trip to China in January, at least one of whom has since become sick. She has been denied a test.
A friend is very sick, with symptoms of COVID-19 including a bad cough, headache, fatigue, and diminished lung function as tested by a doctor. She has been denied a test and simply told to self-quarantine for two weeks.
It is dangerous to publish "no new cases" when at-risk and symptomatic people are not being tested.
