Severe weather expected overnight into Monday

Bartholomew County is split between a marginal and slight risk for severe weather today.
Bartholomew County Emergency Management said the county is also under a high wind watch between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday. High wind gusts up to 60 mph in the watch area possible. Winds up to 50 mph in the advisory area likely. Damaging winds and some large hail is possible with thunderstorms.
Areas impacted include all of central Indiana with the potential for the highest wind gusts generally across eastern Indiana. Severe threat will mostly be across southern and south central Indiana with a few stronger storms to the north.
The timing and duration of severe weather is expected to be from 5 to 10 a.m. Monday.
Best chances for strong thunderstorms will be between 1 and 5 a.m. Monday, emergency management said.
