COLUMBUS
Lola Frances Edwards England, 86, of Columbus, passed from this life to her heavenly home at 8:15 p.m. Saturday May 9, 2020 at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born December 7, 1933 in Edmonton, Kentucky to the late Everette Lee Caffee and Nannie Clide (Tedder) Caffee. She married Garnett Lee Edwards October 27, 1948 and moved to Columbus in 1950.
Lola was a dedicated, loving mother and prayer warrior. She was loved by everyone and cherished her family. She was a member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, loved singing gospel music, working puzzles and adult coloring.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 14, 2020 at Garland Brook Cemetery, Sermon on the Mount section with the Rev. Donnie Asbury and Daniel Edwards officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest next to her first husband, Garnett L. Edwards. Memorial donations in memory of Lola may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home
Lola is survived by her sons, Larry G. (Dawn) Edwards of Michigan, Danny L. (Treva) Edwards and Randall (Roberta) Edwards, both of Taylorsville; brother, Lloyd Caffee of Columbus; son in law, Stanley Reeves of North Vernon; 17 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Garnett L. Edwards and William A. England; daughter Sandra Denise Reeves; granddaughter, Jodi Lassitar; sisters, Mildred Harper, Irene George and Eula Van Antwerp and brothers James, Alvin and Clavis Caffee
