Letter: Andrews has deep roots in Bartholomew County

Hope

My great great grandfather Henry Carson Andrews was born in Ohio in 1798 and moved along with his parents and siblings to Switzerland County, Indiana, sometime shortly after 1820.

He married there in 1823 and moved with his wife to Flatrock Township of Bartholomew County in 1825 where he purchased 80 acres of land. He was a farmer with a large family of 10 children.

In 1834 he was commissioned as a Captain in the 36th Regiment of the Indiana State Militia, and in the 1840’s he served as a Justice of the Peace in Flatrock Township of this County.

I believe Henry Carson Andrews commitment to serving his community is shared by his great great great grandson Scott C. Andrews, who is currently a Republican candidate for Superior Court 2 Judge.

Scott, being a sixth generation Bartholomew County resident, is uniquely qualified by his lineage, education, and diverse legal experience (being the only current candidate with both prosecutor and public defender experience) to continue and improve what our forefathers thankfully started in this great county of Bartholomew.

I sincerely request your vote for him in the Republican Primary on June 2.
