COLUMBUS, IN — Grab and Go Service begins June 15 at the Bartholomew County Public Library.
Bartholomew County Public Library Director Jason Hatton announced that beginning June 15, the downtown and Hope Branch Libraries will be open for Grab and Go Services.
Patrons will be welcomed back into the buildings for browsing and reference questions. In addition patrons can scan and print items, and purchase books from the Friends of the Library book sale. Public computers will be available at 50% capacity with a one hour limit.
Library staff will be masked and patrons are asked to wear masks. Social distancing is encouraged.
The library’s public restrooms, meeting rooms, chairs, tables, and children’s play areas remain unavailable at this time.
The library’s popular curbside service remains available for those who prefer to remain in their vehicles.
The library’s active programming component remains virtual at this time.
Also on June 15 the library begins temporary hours.
Columbus: Monday-Thursday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Hope: Monday and Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday and Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In the next few weeks, depending on the health situation, Hatton said he hopes to lift some restrictions such as seating and lounging in the buildings, opening the public restrooms and the availability of some meeting rooms.
