Letter: Leftists want chaos in America

I am writing this with a heavy heart. Our country is in trouble. As long as voters continue to elect leftist Democrats to local, state, and federal offices, the chaos will only spread until we no longer have a civil society. The murder of George Floyd was despicable and heartbreaking, and no one is defending the actions of former police officer Derek Chauvin. However, the death of Mr. Floyd triggered the deaths of nearly 20 people, people whose names will soon be forgotten. Police and others were injured, and property was looted, damaged, or destroyed.

Those responsible for the violence, destruction, and death had been waiting for an excuse to wreak havoc on neighborhoods and cities. In other words, they want to tear down America. Now, with the occupation of a part of Seattle, we are witnessing true anarchy. The occupiers have run out the police and have set up manned barricades surrounding their “country.” The mayor of Seattle, a Democrat, is calling the takeover the “summer of love.” The police have no power, and the safety of residents is at high risk. As calls for the defunding of police consume the country, law and order have taken a back seat to anarchy and mob rule.

Look at where these riots and anti-police demonstrations have taken place: New York City, Washington, D.C., Seattle, St. Louis, Oakland, Chicago, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Detroit, Philadelphia, Nashville, Atlanta, and more. What do they all have in common? They are all run by Democrats.

Until we stop being afraid of “stepping on toes” or offending someone (someone will always be offended), the left-wing, indoctrinated university students and alumni will continue to promote anti-establishment propaganda. They are being taught in colleges and universities to hate America and the people and institutions that represent order and the rule of law.

Police officers are people we should look up to and appreciate, but now they have become the enemy. When we were attacked by Islamic extremists on 9/11, we were told repeatedly that not all Muslims are bad people. Why, then, do we condemn all policemen for the actions of a few?

Our freedom is at stake. Each and every time we give in to radical leftists, we give up a little more of our own freedom. If you are a Republican, your words are either banned, censored, or turned against you in false accusations of racism, sexism, or one of many other isms. When Americans began to identify themselves by their heritage, gender preference, or sexual orientation, it became too easy to say the wrong thing or address a person in the wrong way. We are now supposed to feel guilty about everything we are, everything we say, everything we do, and everything that has happened in our nation’s history.

We cannot tolerate any more unnecessary deaths by racist or bad police officers, but let’s not punish all policemen. Vote for law and order candidates, or the anarchists will be coming to a neighborhood near you.
