COLUMBUS
Mary Douglas Hall Ianni, 73, Columbus, IN formally of Greendale, IN, passed away on June 17th , 2020 at home with her husband, Frank P. Ianni of 51 years and family by her side. She was born on September 10th , 1946 in Mount Sterling, Kentucky to Juanita and Bruce B. Hall. Mary attended Morehead State University, and soon became an employee of the Department of Welfare of Cincinnati but later had a much more important role as a homemaker and mother to Peter and Patrick Ianni.
Mary was passionate about working with children and later on became a substitute teacher for South Dearborn Community School Corporation. Mary enjoyed reading, gardening, cheering on University of Kentucky basketball, baking chocolate cakes, testing her luck at the local casinos and most importantly sharing and creating memories with her family.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 25th with visitation from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, 455 Ridge Ave. Greendale, IN and service to follow beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Survivors include her husband, Frank P. Ianni; sons Peter (Jamie Speigel) of Cincinnati, OH and Patrick Ianni of Columbus, Indiana; grandchildren Zachary Ianni, Francesca Ianni, Jacob Ianni, Joseph Ianni, and Ethan Ianni. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; Juanita Patrick Hall and Bruce B. Hall, and brother Dr. Larry B. Hall.
