Stephen and Sharon Thompson of Columbus are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Gatlinburg as well as a trip later this year with their daughter, son in law and grandson.
Mr. Thompson and the former Sharon Fleetwood were married Jun. 20, 1970, in Columbus by Lester Thompson and Charles Bryd.
Mr. Thompson is retired and Mrs. Thompson is employed by the Bartholomew County Public Library.
The couple have one child, Sonya Rose, and one grandchild, Aiden.
