Terry and Margaret Branum of North Vernon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 27 with a surprise anniversary dinner with family and friends hosted by their children at the the ETC building in the Elsner Hall.
Mr. Branum and the former Margaret Fields were married in 1970 at Mr. Branum’s parents’ home in Elizabethtown by Rev. Orville Turner. The couple renewed their vows in a church ceremony after 25 years of marriage, at Faith Baptist Church in Scipio, with Turner performing the ceremony again.
Mr. Branum is retired from Messiah Baptist Church in Columbus where he was a pastor. Mrs. Branum is also retired.
The couple have three children, 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
