Columbus City Utilities has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for customers in the area of 8th Street and Werner Avenue.
This precautionary measure is necessary due to a shutdown associated with water system improvements in the area.
Customers are asked to boil cooking and drinking water for 5 minutes until notified that the water has passed laboratory testing.
The boil water advisory will be in effect from 8 a.m. Monday until Thursday. Customers will be notified when the order is lifted.
Customers who have provided phone numbers to the utility will receive robocalls.All customers affected will receive a door hanger notice prior to, and upon completion of the testing.
