Richard “Dick” T. Depp, 85, of Columbus, passed away at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Keepsake Village of Columbus.

Richard was born July 22, 1935, in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of Robert Thomas and Hester Anita Price Depp. On April 4, 1959, he married Judith K. Fleetwood.

Dick graduated from Edinburgh High School where he participated in several sports. Later, he attended Franklin College where he became a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and played football for the Grizzlies. Mr. Depp served in the Indiana National Guard, United States Army Reserves, Air Force Reserves and was honorably discharged after his service.

He was a longtime insurance agent for Prudential Insurance. He was very interested in fishing and fishing lures. Dick enjoyed tackling landscaping and building projects at home, also.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Judith; son R. Brian (Kim) Depp of Indianapolis; daughter, Natalie Stott of Columbus; grandchildren, M. Chad (Hanna) Stott, Matthew T. Stott, Isabella Depp; brother, William P. (Barbara) Depp of Brentwood, TN.; nieces, Susan (Dan) Druckenmiller and Amy (Chuck) LaLance.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with the family’s request, cremation will take place and no services are planned at this time.
