• Jason Hatton and the Bartholomew County Public Library staff for rapidly adjusting to pandemic closures and changes and still providing an amazing range of services to our community without interruption.

• Tom Jekel for the column about the Bartholomew County Library and how awesome its staff is.

• churches with two services, one for masks and one optional with social distancing, for people who might be compromised by wearing one.

• Suzanne Miller for stuffing Richards Rosters for all the students, we are very appreciative for your hard work! from Michelle and Debbie.

• Marty Hensley for bringing back WNAP the Buzzard!

• those that believe that God is in control and not the mask-wearing politicians.

• the nice person who found a bag of groceries under the cart at the JayC Store and turned it in, it’s nice knowing there are honest people in the world, from Bob Green.

• Joe Biden and an end to this ongoing disaster.

• the Kidd family for saving our dog and returning it to us, from the Gearries family.

• Doug Showalter, who the bird lady would have been so proud of for doing such a great job of feeding the birds.

• Flat-Rock Hawcreek School Corp. for setting a good example on how to open school.

• Howard at Lowe’s for helping me, from Sharon.

Onions to …

• the inequity of dress code for elementary and high school teachers, an outfit does not increase or decrease quality instruction.

• the federal elected official who turns anything into politics, whether it’s a pandemic briefing, ego-serving rallies or off the cuff remarks.

• city workers not wearing a mask, from all the coworkers who are being responsible and wearing masks.

• the school district for the bait and switch of teacher work days filling them with meetings instead of work time to prepare for students.

• all the planned boil water orders during a pandemic.

• the mask-wearing lambs being led down a path never to return.

• the federal elected official response to a reporter’ questions about the more than 1,000 daily coronavirus deaths: “We’ve got it pretty much under control. But some deaths are bound to happen. It is what it is.”

• the area business owner who requires masks inside, but doesn’t wear one while preparing food.

• the political party that always wants you to vote for them, but if you really need their help but aren’t a rich contributor, then just forget about it.

• the neighborhood using the disabled as a front to attack an elected official.

• the state elected leader for the unconstitutional mask and closing orders that are illegally issued.

• the deplorables, who there are far too many of in this country.

• the federal elected official who responded “it is what it is” to the fact we’ve lost more American lives to COVID-19 in the past four months than we did during the entire Vietnam war.

• the school official who acknowledged a lag in COVID-19 testing results — by the time the school district deems there is “substantial spread, it will be too late.

• people who need to remember facts are stubborn things, but statistics are pliable.

• the elected county official parking a “work vehicle” at a home where he does not live which is an eyesore to the neighborhood entrance.

• elected officials approving a water rate increase while I’m unemployed, tested positive for a virus and having to boil water to stay safe.

• everyone who is obsessed with the virus.

• the company that continues to support a Marxist organization.

• the administration not helping get personal protective equipment for health care workers while we are months into this pandemic.

• the dog barking 24/7 and disturbing all the neighbors.

• elderly parents who threaten to disinherit their son and his family because that causes years of backlash.

• office security creating a scene with a female employee in the hallway, which was observed and heard.

• the lack of competency of state officials to count the ballots.

• those who believe just because Bartholomew County can prevent voter fraud that the entire country can do the same.

• the local store for what they did to the elderly.
