As a source of encouragement for area students, parents and teachers and other staff linked to heading back to school, First United Methodist Church is offering a brief blessing offered from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday in the church parking lot behind the church at 618 Eighth St. in downtown Columbus.
All visitors will remain in their cars.
Organizers also are offering backpack tags for all those who want one.
