Olympians top Panthers

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County’s Sophia Curry won medalist honors with a 41, but Columbus East picked up its first win of the season, a 192-203 decision at St. Anne’s.

Peyton Meier led the Olympians with a 44. Carter Gant carded a 48, Katie Hong added a 49, Harley Gant shot 51 and Lilly Steinwedel had a 56.

Alexis Carson carded a 46 for Jennings. Lauren Galvan added a 53, Emma Jones shot 63 and Emma Kirchner had a 68.

Eagles finish second

NASHVILLE — Brown County finished second in a tri match at Salt Creek, falling to Brownstown Central 215-237. Edgewood did not have enough players to score as a team.

Ainslie Winton led the Eagles with a 53. Christy Sebastian carded a 58, Abby Padgett added a 62, Annika Evenson shot 64, Avery Patterson had a 67 and Mattie Satter finished with a 69.

Lancers fall to Spartans

EDINBURGH — Edinburgh played only its second match of the season and fell to Southwestern (Shelby) 225-244 at Timbergate.

Annelise Lollar led the Lancers with a 55. Morgan Calhoun added a 56, Jillian Turner shot 62 and Serenity Smith had a 68.
