William “Bill” Moore, 65, of Chestnut Street, died at 9:49 p.m. August 14, 2020, at his home.
William was born July 3, 1955, in Columbus, the son of Ronald E. and Mary L. Burton Moore.
He had been employed at Impact Forge for several years. Bill loved spending time with his family, friends, being outdoors, mushroom hunting, and long drives. He also enjoyed reading and music, especially classic rock.
The funeral will be conducted at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral home with Rev. Kevin Brown officiating. Calling will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2020. Military honors will be presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
All visitors are required to wear face masks.
Memorials may be made to Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard in memory of Bill.
Survivors include his son, Michael Moore of Seymour and stepson, Bobby (Jessica) Hartwell of Hope; brothers, Robert Moore of Columbus and Kevin Moore of Tampa, Florida; and grandchildren, Abby, Haven, Willow, and Kinley Hartwell, all of Hope; Life long friends, Mike and Terry Beavers and Bill Stader.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Connie Johnson and Judith Moore, a life long friend, Billy Beavers and nephew, Christopher Pearl.
