Volunteer registration is open for the annual United Way of Bartholomew County Day of Service on Sept. 11.

Day of Service is an annual United Way community-wide volunteer event that connects volunteers with non-profit agencies and community members to complete service projects that better our community.

Volunteers can register by starting a volunteer profile at uwbarthco.galaxydigital.com. People can also register by going to United Way’s website at uwbarthco.org and clicking on the “Volunteer” box at the top of the website.

This year’s event will look different in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Volunteers will be limited to 200 total, with a limit of 10 volunteers per project and projects spread out across the community to avoid clustering. Volunteers will be required to wear masks and follow CDC guidelines for social distancing.

Deadline for volunteers to register is Sept. 4.
