COLUMBUS, Ind. — Indiana State Police arrested a local man on a charge of possession of child pornography after a four-month investigation.
Troopers arrested Bradley K. Burton, 31, of 112 S. Cherry St., after a warrant for one count of Level 5 felony possession of child pornography was served at his address on Thursday, said Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, Indiana State Police spokesman.
The investigation by the Indiana State Police-Internet Crimes Against Children Unit began in April when a cybertip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Burton was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail where he was being held in lieu of $15,000 bond, pending his initial court appearance, jail officials said.
The Indiana State Police-ICAC Unit was assisted by the Indiana State Police-Cyber Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Investigator Sgt. Martin Mead, Indiana State Police-Versailles Post.
