Winners of Borczon scholarships announced
Columbus Regional Health Foundation has announced the recipients of this year’s Robert Borczon Memorial Scholarship. This year’s winners are Alivia Plumlee, Deanna Abel, Casey Turner, Deidre Western, Yfat Aronov, Laura Gentry.
The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage CRH employees to further their education and career in healthcare. This scholarship is made available in memory of Robert Borczon, a former administrator of Columbus Regional Hospital and champion of education for Hospital employees. Each recipient will receive up to $3,000 in scholarship funds. Awards are based on financial need, personal essay and interview, community activities, and academic performance.

medical scholarship
Nicole Hudson has been selected as the recipient of the 2020 Ron Roberts Memorial Medical Scholarship. This grant, administered by Columbus Regional Health Foundation and given each year in memory of Dr. Ronald D. Roberts, is designed to provide scholarship money to medical students who demonstrate both academic potential and financial need.
Hudson, a 2018 graduate of IUPUI with a bachelor of science degree in biology, and a minor in medical sociology, attended Eastern Greene High School. She is in her second year at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine and plans to graduate in 2023. After completion of her degree, Nicole’s goal is to practice primary care medicine in southern Indiana.
